Am I late to the party? "City" helmets have see-through visors now?

I've just seen Decathlon's 900 City helmet. It has a built in see-through visor like an Aero / TT / Tri helmet.

I love the retro-futuristic look of it for riding my Sinclair C5 (it's a bike underneath!)

What's the purpose of these visors though?

I can only think:

  1. Its a trend I won't ever understand; or
  2. It's for keeeping bugs out your eyes if you're a 500mph e-bike pizza delivery person?
