Success with Steroid Injections for long COVID relief?
I contracted COVID early December 2020 and had the whole gamut of symptoms but luckily did not have to be hospitalized. It took me about 2 and a half weeks to fully recover. January and February went by at almost 100% health post recovery and then starting in March I noticed COVID like symptoms returning- namely intense fatigue and debilitating aches and pains as if I had the flu but with no fever.
These would come on suddenly and then recede, coming back every couple weeks, especially after and intense exercise. After several doctor visits and specialist visits was formally diagnosed with Long COVID
Coincidentally I also am being treated for pretty severe eczema and started getting steroid shots. I got a shot in April and then for the next 4 months I didn’t have anymore LC flare ups.
Fast forward to the beginning of this month (August) and the LC symptoms are back…aches and pains, fatigue, general feeling like I got hit by a bus.
I’m curious if anyone has had any experience with steroid shots helping with LC? I haven’t spoken to my PCP yet but my thought was that maybe it’s helping with the inflammation?
