Upcoming surgery

Hello everyone I want to ask everyone on how they handled the post surgery phases. I was referred to a urologist and he told me I was going to need a circumcision for my state of phimosis. I’m currently able to somewhat pull my foreskin back when it’s soft to clean but it’s uncomfortable and when hard it’s barely going over half the gland. I given creams to help but I was also told it’s going to be more of a constant use thing and since I’m enlisted in the military that’s kinda of a big no which leaves me to circumcision. Any tips and advice will help !
