Where in Christchurch can I "luckily" find a poorly designed emergency exit?

Two weeks ago, my lecturer gave us an assignment that requires us to find a real-world example of a badly designed emergency exit and analyze it in a 5-page report. The problem is… most emergency exits I’ve seen so far are pretty decent. On campus, even the most inconspicuous doors in the hallways are expensive fire doors designed to block smoke and flames.

I even checked out the Riccarton mall today, but honestly, the emergency exits there aren’t that bad either. Sure, I could nitpick a few minor flaws, but nothing serious enough to fill five pages of analysis.

So now I’m hoping to get lucky — does anyone know of a place in Christchurch where I might stumble upon an emergency exit that’s poorly designed or just confusing enough to be a good case study?
