DPWH to build 3 pedestrian footbridges

Hello Generals! I just want to ask about your Opinions and I also want to share mine.

According to the post, the planned 3 pedestrian footbridges daw are located sa NDDU, Lagao Public Market, Tinagacan National High School.

Nakapuyo kog Davao for 5 years, Cebu for 3 Years and Manila for 2 years. I always see GenSan as a peaceful, and organized hometown. That is why it annoys me na makakitag footbridges in our city. This is very much third world and very hugaw hugaw sa lugar tan awon. Im sorry for the comparison, but this is very common na infra sa Davao Region na bisag bukid pa kaayo ang palibot, tapos naay skwelahan butangan dayon nilag footbridge. I dont like that in our Region because we are more organized and sparse than Davao Region. Its understood man na davao has this populist kind of mayor, that is why right now they suffer from congestion, they prioritize human settlement (even illegal) over proper zoning and urban planning.

I also disliked the traffic lights in front of city hall. The road is supposed to have a free flowing traffic. Now saba na ang plaza and polluted na sa usok sa mga sakyanan.

I always admired our city’s simplicity.

One thing that I liked is ang underpass. Because its justifiable for me kay agianan syag bus sa taas because of the Bus terminal, and the regular vehicles are intended sa underpass moagi.

Im glad because they chose underpass kaysa flyover because hugaw sa mata ang flyover. It’s just a matter of implementation, because now nagkaproblema diba.

I want to know about your opinions about these kind of projects. Do you think we really have this big pedestrian problem that is worthy sa trade off satong image?Or just another political stunt?

There are very obvious problems man unta satong city nganong dili kana ilang unahon
