Am I being fleeced here?

So a few weeks ago, I very stupidly bumped into the back of someone at a roundabout. Genuinely no more than like 7km/h tip. The paint cracked on their bumper, we swapped details and headed on our ways.

They’ve just sent me a quote from a body shop for over 2 grand? The shop wants to get a whole new bumper so I’m just wondering:

1. Is the body shop taking the piss here?

2. Does anyone have recommendations for someone around Limerick city for repairing a bumper?
