How well would a used 5080 hold its value?

I was planning to get the 5090 this gen but it looks like it might a while yet before I can get that. Is getting a 5080 while I wait a good idea? I can get it at MSRP and the plan is to wait until 5090 drops to below 2400 and then sell it.

I know no one have a crystal ball but how much money am I likely to lose?
