Criticism of bjj dogma regarding turtle/ Hot take

Does anyone else feel frustrated when they hear people call turtle a trash position?

Personally, I understand the criticism do a degree. When students are taught turtle like the first photo, you’re just waiting for your back to be taken.

THIS IS NOT TURTLE.

Your inside position is just there for the taking, inviting underhooks/hooks. Yes, your neck is protected initially but what does that even matter if you’re just going to get your back taken anyway.

The second slide is true turtle. Your inside space is effectively closed off. Meaning, no hooks or underhooks are available and therefore you cannot satisfy the criteria for a back take. Yes, the neck appears to be unprotected but by simply putting your shoulder to your neck, nullifies any potential bulldog chokes etc. By keeping the elbows tight you can also hand fight their hands.

Seriously do not understand the hate for turtle lol.😂

Gonna get so much hate for this I can feel it..
