Capital One Points Transfer Times Rant

I am so frustrated with capital one that I'm making my first ever reddit post just to rant about it. I know points transfer delays are just part of the game, but compared to the other banks, my experience with capital one has been so ridiculous that I need to vent lol

Brief summary of my experience with them so far:

Roughly a year ago I got the business venture x card. Made various small points transfers successfully over a few months.

Went to make my first larger points transfer of 565k to cathay pacific about a month ago, the points did not transfer & it took 11 days for them to flag it as fraud, then I called in to verify info etc and points transferred about 3 days after that.

Then 9 days ago I transferred 426k points to aeroplan & just received an email from them this morning stating:

Just so you’re aware, your recent request to transfer 426000 miles from your card ending in XXXX to Aeroplan didn’t go through, and your miles have been returned to your Capital One® account. Something about the transfer didn’t seem quite right, and we wanted to check with you before moving forward.

To get this ironed out, call the number on the back of your card and press “0” to talk to an agent.

I called in and the agent said it was likely an incorrect name or aeroplan number. We verified they were both correct, he then sounded confused and put me on hold for a while. Came back and said 'it looks like the points transferred on our end but were rejected by aeroplan, you should call them'

Called aeroplan and the customer service rep I talked to basically said she has no idea what happened, and cannot help me and that I should call cap1 back, to make a long story short. I'm trying to figure out if this is an aeroplan or capital one issue. Leaning towards capital one because I've had such a tough experience with them so far. But then again, the rep at aeroplan said she 'didn't know we allowed points transfers from capital one.... I've never heard of someone doing that before', which isn't exactly promising

Again mainly posting this just to rant :,) but if anyone has any input it would be much appreciated.

Maybe because they are larger points transfers capital one is just finicky about letting them go through? I know it's not a good idea to send small test transfers, etc... so I didn't do anything like that
