Cordis Eight - Review without photos
I took some photos intending to share it here but .. long story short, I don't have them. Went to Cordis for dinner.
Most of you know the concept - 8 cuisines and different areas with the cuisines e.g. Italian, seafood, Chinese/Asian, meat & BBQ etc.
The time slot was 5:30pm and the restaurant was busy but not full.
Service was courteous, attentive, polite
I took a beeline to the Japanese but found the sashimi underwhelming.
Then went to the seafood section and chose a selection of seafood for the teppanyaki. I found the taste a little salty for my taste buds but the friends around enjoyed it - esp the octopus.
I then tried again with "Fresh" seafood by trying the oysters and the crayfish and crab legs.
I quite enjoy oysters but couldn't find that freshness I usually like. The only thing I found fresh and still tasty was the crayfish so I took a few more of those.
Didn't waste my stomach for the pizza or pasta, but tried some of the Chinese food, which was fine.
Big hits: meat cooked to order at the BBQ, seafood teppanyaki, Asian and the chocolate fountain was fun.
Overall, I'd rate it a 7 to 7.5.
Would I return? Maybe but I'd rather try the Japanese one next time as I quite like fresh seafood and found that 8's wasn't fresh enough for my taste.
Ambience was good though and service was prompt and attentive.
