What dictates upping dose + travel question
Hi there!
Thanks to everyone who offered support and advice on my last post. I took my first dose of Zepbound on Sunday (12am) and have had no negative side effects. If anything, my normal GI symptoms are better, probably because I’m not eating as much.
I started on 2.5mg and I was wondering how people have decided to increase dose. My friend is on a schedule basically and going up up up. My doctor at Mayo Clinic however prefers to up the dose when someone says they are ready and the current dose is not working as well. What is the collective knowledge here? It’s now Wednesday and I feel my hunger possibly coming back a bit although it could also be I didn’t have enough for breakfast.
Also, I know it says you can keep it at room temp for 21 days (I have it in the fridge), so if I go out of town and want to bring my shot with me, can I put it in my carry on and bring it with me for a few days? Or 21?
Also, is anyone using a sharps container? How are we disposing of the pens? The instructions say to use a sharps container but I would have thought if that was truly necessary the pharmacist would have mentioned it? I put the cap back on (which it says not to do) and threw it in the trash.
Thanks!
