AIW for not wearing a bra?
I, F(16) used to wear bras regularly, untill my clothing style changed from lose baggy tops to tighter, slimmer tops when i lost some weight. I started feeling more confident in my body, and want to show it off. They are full length shirts, just usually compression tops, or bodysuits. My mom hasn't had a problem with this. She's traditional, so I make sure not to wear crop tops, but still dress in ways that we can both agree on. Anyways, when my style changed, I started noticing the lines my bras would leave on me, and how my under arms would kinda bulge out, and I didn't like it. It made me feel like all the work i had hadn't paid off. I'm by all means not skinny, but it still is a confidence killer. I decided to stop wearing bras all together, and that fixed the problem. I even decided to buy nipple covers. My mom hasn't been very pleased. She keeps saying this is something that's very wrong, and gets upset. We've tried to collaborate, such as wearing boob tape, those strapless bras, or even camisoles, but we can't seem to agree. (She doesn't like the thought of me using boob tape, and wearing a camisole underneath an already tight top is just me wearing 2 shirts, and the bandeau/ strapless bra I got didn't do much to hide the nipples). Ive given up fighting about it, because I don't like getting upset with my mom nor her getting upset with me. I'm thinking of just buying the camisoles to please her and calling it a day. But I want to know, am I wrong for not wearing a bra?
Edit: I talked to my mom about it, and showed her this post, and we agreed to go and get fitted! Plus she explained to me why she was upset; and y'all we're right. She says public perception is important, and just doesn't want people to judge me, or worse. Thank you guys for all your help <3!
