might be a hot take but (spoilers)

ETA: thanks everyone who commented, there's so much I didn't think about. I definitely misunderstood a lot in this episode and y'all are making me want to rewatch knowing what you've shared

if you want to write a trans storyline into your show, write in a trans character and cast a trans actor. "I explored my feelings about gender but got scared and ashamed and now I'm celibate" is Not It.

not to mention the racism of "I have a thing for Asian girls" over and over again...just bc you are having your own identity crisis doesn't mean you get a pass for saying offensive bs.

idk, I just think queer story lines should get it right and so far we've got incest, girls kissing for men's pleasure, and what essentially is a detransition narrative.
