Why all the discounts?
Drove the XC90 t8 yesterday for the 1st time and loved it.
I went there to look at leasing before the $7500 incentive is gone, but it didn’t seem to make financial sense for me because the dealer was willing to offer so many discounts on a purchase.
The dealer has a 2023 Plus with 15k for 61k. I was willing to sign for it then/there if they’d drop it to 60k. They said no, but offered a deal on a new 2025 for $10k off the price, plus $4000 incentive (Costco and ABA), plus a 3.99% rate, which made the overall cost very similar to the 2023 Used.
I know little to nothing about Volvo. Even with the 25.5 coming out, why are they offering such deep discounts? It makes me worry about the overall health of the company. Buying discounted new still gives me a higher MSRP for taxes/reg, so I’m trying to figure out what makes sense here.
Thanks for insight!
