Buying out my lease question

Hi moosers,

I'm getting ready to buy out my v60 lease from the dealer we've been using for quite awhile and have always had a good experience. We actually bought out my wife's xc60 a few years back. The sales associate I spoke with said I'd be required to purchase a new warranty when buying out the lease as the existing warrant would be over and they can't sell me the car without a warranty. This sounds like bologna to me. Anyone have any insight to this? My bullshit radar is going off but don't want to contact a diff guy at the dealership without a gut check.
