Long wait for dependence

Hello everyone, Been waiting over 8 months for child to be added to my VA benefit pay. Every time in call I get someone who says that they are backed up and there is nothing I can do as it has to be checked by someone physically instead of going through the computers system. Does anyone know if there's a number I can call. Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you.
