Mesalamine enema

Hi yall, I'm new to this community! I've been on mesalamine/budesonide pills for a while but I recently had a sigmoidoscopy and they saw that my colon is still inflamed. I was switched to hydrocortizone and mesalamine enemas. The issue that I have is that I'm supposed to take the masalamine enemas in the morning, and I know that it is impossible to retain it for the full 8 hours. I drink a lot of water and go to the bathroom a lot, so I'll be lucky if I can retain it for maybe 3 hours. I called my doctor to ask if it will still be effective under these circumstances and the sawer I got is "i don't know what to tell you, you have to take them as prescribed for them to be effective." Does anyone have experience with having to take enemas like this in the morning, and were they still effective?

UPDATE: I actually haven't had any trouble holding it in during the day. However, I feel like they're not coming back out at all
