Help with understanding how to survive here?

Hello,

I am almost done with my Bachelor in Economics here in Toronto, and I was wondering, how do people can actually start a life here? Like in my case I had student loans and such to help me survive, and I rented a room that I have to leave by January 1st 2025.

So now my concern is that how can I find a place to live? 99.99% of apartments I saw require a 2 months advance, insane price for so little, paystub of the past 3 months, and such. Most entry position have a salary of 50k. How do people do it? And I have student loans on top of this! Are every students leaving the city afterward?

There is definitely a way to make it work, but how?? Is everyone in Toronto drowning in debt? How am I supposed to pay 2000$ in rent, when my annual income will most likely be around 40k after tax at the start of my career? I was even looking as far as Oshawa but the prices are pretty much the same. I am Canadian, born and raised, but I don't know I'm kind of panicking. Worst case I will move to Montreal, but Idk, this is starting to stress me out a lot.

Thanks for your help
