When did you start using silicone Scar tape?

I am about 3 post ope everything looks fairly healed but there are still sections with the surgical glue The box I bought says I could start using 7 days Post surgery but it seems awfully soon. But I wanted to try it out cuz I'm tired of being covered in aquaphor.
