Triglycerides still (a bit) into high range despite solid weight loss & limited carbs
So, I'm confused. Been on Tirzepatide since the end of September, losing 1.1 pounds/week per shotsy, very good food noise control. Consistently hitting 1200-1300 calories/day, including 100+ grams of protein. Carbs are ranging from 70-110/day, with minimal bread, potatoes, cookies, cake, ice cream, candy, or other high carb foods. Max of 2 fruit servings/day, one of which is always berries. I use my food scale very consistently, and eat out infrequently except on vacation. I hit the gym for weights & water exercise 3x/week. (69 y.o. female)
I just had my blood draw done for the lipid check, and despite all that, my triglycerides are still in the high range. It has dropped from before terzepatide, but I was eating a lot more before terz and definitely eating a lot more carbs.
Is there something about weight loss on terzepatide that elevates triglycerides despite the weight loss and carb restriction?
