Anyone else think Victoria is the villain?
This is kinda long but this is my theory:
Victoria is constantly drugging herself, maybe to hide something or she knows something and doesn’t wanna deal with it? In episode one before bed with her husband, she wakes up from her nap and says she ‘got a second wind and don’t worry I don’t wanna have sex’ and her husband looks relieved. How do we know that the sex was towards her husband. If there are themes of incest, maybe it wasn’t with her husband maybe one of the sons? And the husband knows she wasn’t sleeping through the night and possibly doing bad things or saw something. Therefore, the drugs are a protectant of her against herself knocking her out so that it stops her from doing something bad?
Also, her youngest son Lachlan has a very insecure personality. Something sinister definitely involves him. He’s kinda giving off I suffered a trauma and am bottling it up until I explode in a very big mentally unstable way. America is known for those types of boys being shooters in schools, my theory is that he could be the shooter. The mother is constantly trying to do things to make him be more confident and maybe more normal. We usually think that’s motherly love but maybe she does it because she did something to him or knows something bad that happened to him.
I think we’re meant to hate Saxon because he’s the distraction of not looking deeper into the other siblings. Notice how the youngest brother Lachlan stares at Saxon before he JO’ed. Maybe Lachlan is the one who doesn’t understand boundaries because those were crossed with him by somebody else in the family. The sister I think knows what happened to him or whatever he’s holding in and she’s a part of it somehow. It could even be Lachlan and her who have a sexual relationship. Maybe the mother saw it or instigated it idk. All I know is my brother would NEVER call me hot and if he ever did, it’s incredibly weird and the siblings didn’t seem to think that. I would also be mortified if I ever saw my father naked. It was super casual when it happened for them.
If this is all true I think the theme this season is either: 1. we’re a product of our environment. What we experience and are traumatized by continue to affect us and our mental health especially from our youth as an adult, or 2. no one takes accountability for themselves anymore and we all blame other people for how our lives turn out when it’s solely our choices that got us there
Maybe both tied together somehow.
That would make sense for everybody else on the show right now because it seems like they’re all experiencing issues and blaming someone or something else for their problems and not taking accountability. All the characters this season are bottling up something hidden to us right now.
Aimee Lou’s character even stated it to her boyfriend you’re a product of your own decisions.
