Small group testing: Pros, Cons, Benefits? Unnecessary?

So, high school teachers who teach ICS have students with IEPs in their class, some of which have small group testing as an accommodation. Usually this means the teacher has the classroom aide or ICS teacher take those students to the library or elsewhere to take quizzes or tests. Some of those students are vocally embarrassed to have to take their tests away from the other students. I personally struggle to see the benefit of small group testing. Those students don’t have read allowed or any other testing accommodation, just small group. Those who have extended time wouldn’t be finishing it within that specific class period anyway. How do you feel about this accommodation and how to you fulfill that accommodation?
