Things to do here (music/bars/food/people/etc)

I am going to be in Tauranga fairly soon to see my family and I’m curious if anyone has any recommendations for things to do. For background, I’m a woman, 27, from nyc, don’t have a ton of money, I like seeing art and music and whatever is going on and would honestly like to just be around people in my (very broad) age range. Also I’m gay so queer recs would be cool as well. Family is originally from Christchurch but they’re now mostly around Auckland and tauranga so I don’t really know what to do. I’ve been to tauranga before so I’ve already experiences the touristy stuff.
