Removing traditional tattoos: it’s fine not to see major progress until 6-7 sessions in!

Making this post off the back of some misinformed people commenting on someone’s post of their very new and well done trad tattoo that they’re removing on which they had people telling them that their progress is “bad”

As someone who has been removing for a couple years a traditional tattoo and have also done extensive research both on Reddit and outside of it - it is TOTALLY fine to only start to see lines breaking up at around 6-7 sessions in, or more - especially if your tattoo is very new and was very well applied or deeply set.

People need to remember that all tattoos react differently; if your tattoo is very dense and your laser tech is reputable, then there’s probably not any issue going on with the technical process, and your tattoo probably just had a lot of ink to go through

My suggestion for people with these thick trad tattoos is to space sessions closer to six months and to exercise and drink water as much as possible in between.

EDIT: Rephrased the word “idiots” as I was getting some hate for it lol
