Screw it: They should remake the 2000 game and use it to launch a new series aimed at kids.
There's no reason why there can't be two series. In fact, as 2000 was more of an action platformer than a swinging game, they'd have two different design philosophies. They can share notes so that they both benefit. I've only really played the tasm games of Beenox's ones, but the combat I liked and so they should get a developer who focuses on this style. A cel shaded art style based off Scott Johnson and boom, something you can market to kids. Make it E 10 and up.
There doesn't need to only be one series. Yeah, branding....but that's why there's subtitles. I just think a remake of 2000 could Kickstart a new series for kids.
