Can hackers crash your game?

I took photos of a skid whose mask was the only thing I could see (the floating mask at the bottom, they were just piggybacking their friend) thinking maybe my game was buggy but then they honked at me and my game instantly crashed. Maybe it was just a coincidence cause I’ve had some times where the game suddenly crashed for no reason. If it was a coincidence the timing was just lol
