I built an app that helps you read with multi-level AI summaries (went viral with 350K+ views in Japan)

Hi everyone 👋

When ChatGPT first came out, tons of AI summary apps popped up—but most just give you a single summary, which is often either too vague or too detailed. I wanted something more flexible.

So I built Fractal Reader (https://www.fractal-reader.com/), a tool that generates multi-level AI summaries for articles and academic papers. It gives you different summary levels—from a quick one-sentence overview to a detailed, paragraph-level breakdown. You can seamlessly switch between them by just scrolling horizontally.

You can check out example summaries like Attention is All You Need (https://www.fractal-reader.com/view/d9bccd98-8580-4c0a-a366-99b0b73a865e) and Do Things That Don't Scale by Paul Graham (https://www.fractal-reader.com/view/184e28f3-0540-4368-a654-3dd0d875ba90), or try it with your own articles here: https://fractal-reader.com/

I originally shared this on Japanese Twitter last year, and it went viral with 350K+ views 🤯 Now I’m trying to bring it to a global audience, so I’d love for you to give it a try and share your thoughts!

Thanks a lot!
