SCAMMER WEBSITE KELSEAK.COM
I was on this SCAM WEBSITE KELSEAK (DOT) COM last night. I was searching for a Bethany Lowe box and they had it for HALF the price of anybody else, free shipping, no taxes so I bought it but I was a bit suspicious, since when I searched for Bethany Lowe items on their site nothing came up.
I looked up how to tell a scam website. There was a whole list of things Google advised me to check and I did. It came back as a legit website, so I thought OK maybe these people don’t speak English as a first language so it might explain why the wording on the Privacy page and elsewhere is a bit off.
So I decided to see if I was just being too suspicious and added more more stuff to the cart. I searched for the items on Google first and a lot of the stuff I was searching for came up with a link to one of the Kelseak pages and EVERY SINGLE THING was half off. Google had a link to the Kelseak website in the top ten results of almost all the Bethany Lowe stuff I was searching for.
When I tried to check out the stuff the second time to see if it would actually work, they added $100,000 in shipping charges so I called them. Their website claims they can be contacted 24/7 (LOL) but no one was answering the phone, so I emailed them. Someone answered right away and said my order was fine and being shipped. So I asked them what were they actually shipping me and could I have a receipt, since I never received one? I asked if I could have a picture of my order. I also asked them why they were charging me $100k for shipping this time? They ignored that question, so I asked again. Then they responded that they had canceled the order and were refunding me.
Anyway this is a heads up on this SCAMMER website. They have ONE OF A KIND ITEMS that you can order at least 41 of. If you wanted a 1000 you could probably order them too but my fingers were tired of clicking the numbers up any higher (LOL). A lot of the items appear to be from various artists and are very pricy. The one artist that I checked out “Bonnie Belt” appears to have a website as well but I didn’t look into whether that was also part of the scam or a real artist being taken advantage of. I suspect the former.
The website has no social media presence and no reviews anywhere. No reference to them anywhere except that one website. And again all the articles telling you how to spot fake websites are absolutely no use, because to a casual non tech savvy user this one does check out. I am hoping in future if anyone researches KELSEAK (DOT) COM my post will come up and alert consumers. I have already reported them as suggested on Google but some of the reporting sites don't work or are clunky to use.
BTW I also called the credit card company and canceled the card I used to make the first purchase. (Hope this post goes through this time as I have never actually posted on Reddit before and am not sure what I am doing. Photos are out of order but I am tired of trying to post this correctly now. It has been hours.)
this is the second time I tried to buy something as an experiment. Note shipping cost.
