Cyberbuds DAO TWS - Mini review
Honestly, I'm pretty impressed. Especially for the price.
I've used galaxy buds 1-3, pixel buds 1-2, sony linkbuds, a couple JBL and skull candy ones, and all in all, these redmagic ones have been my favorite.
Couple of things I really like:
- Dock - I thought the charging base/dock was gonna be really gimmicky and kinda pointless (I mean if you have a desktop pc there's a good chance anyone buying these has a decent pair of full headphones) but all be damned if I don't actually use and love this. Dropping my case on to charge, then taping the knob to switch my earbuds over to my pc is surprisingly quick and crazy convenient. Lately I only pop my full headphones on if I need to jump into discord and need a better mic.
- Case - So far, I like the case design with the swivel top. Its by far the easiest case I've used to just get the earbuds in and out (fuck galaxy buds 3 case. idk why but I had the hardest time with that case.) Its also way less slippery then my pixel buds case (I swear google coats all there stuff in vaseline...)
- Audio Quality - Sound great. Better base then my pixel buds and on par with the galaxy buds 3 imo.
- Connection - Connects super quick to my phone, and switching between the dongle and bluetooth is also surprisingly quick.
Some things I don't like:
- Battery Life - A bit low with ANC turned on. I like to use earbuds at the office, as it gets pretty noisy, but I only get about around maybe 3 hours with it on. Not a deal breaker by any means but I wish it was a bit longer.
- Size of the case - while I really like the case, its also not the most pocket friendly. Its huge compared to the competition and I'm really worried that swivel top is not going to hold up long term.
- Mora - I don't need her shouting at me every time my earbuds connect or switch modes. A simple beep will suffice, thanks.
So ya. Haven't done any huge testing with benchmarks and audio graphs and all that, but I'm pretty into these and highly recommend them.
