Unable to Find Battery in North Texas???

My Mom's 4th gen 12v battery died last Friday. My Dad has been unable to get a battery from any Toyota dealership in DFW or at any other retailers. Anyone else with this issue or know whats going on? According to the dealerships there is a waiting list of 300 plus people for the batteries...
