anyone have a book that they don’t really like but for some reason it resonates greatly?

i had this experience with Walker Percy’s The Moviegoer. i thought it was so bland. The main character was pretty unlikeable and i had no desire to relate to him. However, the idea of floating above the “malaise” always resonates with me
