Is anyone actually happy in academia???

I had a long, rough day with students today. Tonight I had an anxiety inducing conversation with a friend, also a professor like myself. I hear so much complaining about teaching and all the academic politics. I’m wondering if anyone actually enjoys being a professor anymore?
