Trumbeak got hit by Magnitude?

My Trumbeak got hit by Geodude's Magnitude. I'm in Cinder Volcano. How? Thanks in advance!

EDIT: The only scenario I can think of is I must have used roost before he used Magnitude. I really don't think I did, but it's the only scenario unless there was a glitch. Thanks anyway.
