Delta faucet: Black rubber like material clogging aerator

I have been having to clean out my aerator every month or so because this material keeps clogging it. This is a delta kitchen faucet so this material is also getting into the small holes of the faucet sprayer vs the main stream.

It's not a sludge like material so I assume it's a seal that's deteriorating somewhere... I'm looking for advice as to where to start checking for the seals? Any advice would be appreciated! Thanks
