If you are looking Rhinoplasty Surgeon in Turkey

i am not a plastic surgeon but a med. doc, also living in istanbul. had two times rhinoplasty. Also i want to share some tips about finding a good surgeon in Turkey.

I am not here to advertise to anyone. However, I wanted to write such an article because of the bad results I have seen here and my own experiences as a patient.

I have seen that there is a lot of prejudice about Turkey regarding rhinoplasty. Frankly, there are very good doctors here as well as bad ones. I even believe that the best in the world in Rhinoplasty are from Turkey. I have seen much worse surgeries performed for much higher prices in America or Germany.

First, Stay away from health tourism agencies and all in one services. Find your own doctor, and arrange your own travel and hotel seperately,

If you are a man, be more careful. I think male rhinoplasty is a more difficult field.

If you have not had surgery before, closed surgery is always a safer option ( in my opinion ). Choose your doctor accordingly. The structure under the nose called the columella contains nerves and blood vessels. When you sew them back together, it is not the same.

I think that terms like piezo etc. are not very important, what really matters is the methods the surgeon uses, are modern methods? and of course the surgeon's manual dexterity. So don't get caught up in such marketing statements.

The fact that the doctor is very popular or that the surgery is very expensive does not mean that the doctor is good. There are doctors in Turkey who perform surgeries on celebrities, who charge astronomical amounts but make very artificial noses.

The patients' 3-6 months post-operation photos are a better measure of the doctor's success. The photos from the surgery can be misleading.

I think a very important and overlooked point is the doctor's aesthetic understanding and design skills. If the doctor cannot create a design that is compatible with natural proportions when simulating your nose beforehand, the result will not be good, no matter how good his surgical skills are.Also we, patients, can sometimes have unrealistic expectations and desires. I think it is always better to leave the final decision to the doctor. Of course, the right doctor.
