TFSA's, ETF's and Foreign Income
Hi everyone, this is a two part question, so I appreciate you reading/replying.
I have the opportunity to work in the Bahamas for a company, making around $30,000 CAD per year, I'm wondering how that type of foreign income is taxed as the Bahamas does not have an income tax.
I would like to know what I would expect to pay in Canadian Taxes, and in addition, can I be putting some of this income in a TFSA to slightly lower the amount of tax I will be paying.
I recently started researching ETF's, TFSA's and RRSP's, and from what I understand, you can put money into a TFSA and then also buy ETF's with that same money while avoiding any taxes on that money.
I would like to know more about this topic so if you have any recommended article's, YouTube Videos or books please let me know.
