What’s it like living in Pennsyltucky? I know it’s a huge area, but any experiences would be appreciated!
I live in Philly and am looking for a house and a few acres. Obviously middle of PA is super cheap so I want to consider it.
However, I’ve spent a lot of time in Uniontown area in deep SWPA and it was a bummer. A lot of poverty, confederate flags, and super run down borderline abandoned towns with nothing in them.
I’ve always unfairly assumed all of the middle of the state was similar, but the prices are so good and I’m hoping someone can share their experiences.
Are there nice small towns? Open minded people? Any racism to be worried about? I’m OK with different political ideas but don’t want to feel like a complete outsider.
Thank you!
