A dark world, hundreds of puzzles, and inspiration from Machinarium. This is the path of my game Conquistadorio, which took several years to create. Recently, I successfully ported it to PS4
Once a fierce warrior, you earned your rest and withdrew from the world. But peace was never meant to last. Your slumber was shattered, and your coffin—your final refuge—has been stolen.
Key mechanics I sought to explore in Conquistadorio:
Puzzles: Dark, intricate challenges that will ensnare your mind, demanding every ounce of intellect to unravel twisted, logical riddles.
Graphics: A haunting, hand-drawn art style that captures the unsettling beauty of the world, pulling you deeper into a landscape filled with eerie charm.
Sound: Ambient sounds, chilling background music, and unsettling character effects that seep into your subconscious, amplifying the dread as you unravel the mystery.
Dialogues: Here, words are absent. Conquistadorio speaks through silent animations, the twisted expressions of its world, and the movements of its characters.
I’d love to hear your thoughts and support as this journey unfolds.
