Is UTI side effect of Metformin?

Hi, has anyone here experience having UTI more often during metformin medication?

I'm currently taking Glumet XR and Glyxambi. Napansin ko lang parang pag naiihi ako di ko macontrol kasi nagleleak agad.

I was diagnosed with cystitis prior to taking this med. I took antibiotic as prescribed then after some time after taking these two, bumalik na naman. Side effect kaya ito ng gamot? No pain naman when urinating, more on urge to release immediately and uncontrolled leakage.

Also, I lost 5kg in a week after taking these meds. Gulat ako kasi ang bilis compared dati na na nagdiet ako without meds.
