Nostalgia!!
These were all released in 2015/2016 and def imo where the big ones at the time that jumpstarted the genre popularity in the western sphere at least. It's definitely how I started using sites like Tapas and Tappytoon. Tbf though while I read them I never participated in the community directly (I didn't even get TW until like 2019) but these gave me the vibes of being the big ones
Ik technically Adonis and Light and Shadow are more fantasy stuff and less OI but Adonis had the reincarnation aspect at least and well Light and Shadow I just loved that series so I had to put it on here (it even got a sequel for which I was equally stoked for Golden Time)
I can't believe Adonis is still ongoing even π That series went through quite a bit of hiatuses and even artist changes... I loved the concept but i kinda fell off at some point... not sure if I'll catch up tbh maybe if it finally finishesππ
If y'all know some older ones that got licensed at the time though fr hmu I'm drowing in nostalgia rn, would love some more πππ I probably at least saw it ahah I spent too much time on Tappytoon, Lezhin, Tapas etc ahah
