Show me your character that hit rock bottom. Did they get back up? Or did they stay there?

I have Ruby In her whole existence she believed 2 things, that she was weak and a disappointment to her father. This beliefs led her to allow Babidi to control her mind in pursuit of power, and with said power kill her sister that was always overshadowing her. The guilt after the act made her kill herself in the hopes of making things right, at least a little. When she was revived, even tho her family, specially her sister, forgave her, she couldn't do it herself, so making distance between them, she fled to another country looking for the only friend she managed to make. The guy was an exchange student at the time, Ruby knew the country, but had no idea of what region, much less where his house was, and with no phone she just accepted to be lost and alone there. She spent the next two years "homeless" getting drunk and into fights, most of those fights she lost on purpose, as a form of punishment for her weakness. She only manages to get out of there when her friend finds her.

(I had an epiphany two nights ago and realized that her homeless phase was a bit too similar to VI, so i decided to make cannon the Pit Fighter Ruby era)
