Bug wheels for slappys [40YO]

I have been battling front 5050 slappys for a while, a lifetime it seems haha. I could never get my back truck on. At the time I was riding 53 mm wheels spitfire connical fulls 8 to 8.6 decks. I decided to try bigger wheels, I went with 58mm spitfire connical fulls and an egg shaped board, a creature 9.25. With the bigger wheels I was able to get up on the curb so much easier back truck gets up there no problem and I feel this was all due to the bigger wheels. I'm so hyped I can do slappys now! If anyone is having issues with slappys try bigger wheels, it worked for me but you know different strokes for different folks. Thoughts?
