Why did this setup feel poppier? [40YO]

A bit of a reference:

Skated in my teens. My kid wanted to try this summer. I got more hooked than him. (did my first ledge boardslides today!)

I bought an ´´Real outrun oval complete´

According to the internet it has these specs:

  • Dimensions: 8.5" x 32.2".
  • Wheelbase: 14".
  • Concave: Medium.
  • Trucks: Polished / Black.
  • Wheels: 53mm x 33mm, 95A Real.

Today I was at the local park and got to try some guys board.

It felt so easy to ollie. Felt like I instantly popped a couple of inches extra.

What exactly made this setup work better for me? Hopefully I can find similar deck/truck/wheel combos for my self.

It was an 8.6ish (a bit wider than my 8.5 measured by eye) Limosine? deck. Black with some red writing.

Ace 44 trucks (these were a bit loose for me.)

Risers

Spitfire formula four 60mms(!!)

Images for investigation.

My REAL complete has the grip line. The Limosine deck is red.

the mystery board is just slightly taller even with 60mm wheels and risers!

Tried lining them up along the bolt holes.
