For those who know episode titles, what are your favorite episodes?
I’ll give my top ten here. Disclaimer: This is the one area where I have realized I am nostalgia-biased against DR in.
Honorable Mentions: Ninjaball Run, The Last Resort, A Line in the Sand, Game of Masks, Truth and Lies
Long Live the King: regicide in Ninjago??? I loved the innocence of Benthomaar be tested by the real world, and much else.
Winds of Change: Potentially the best first episode of any season ever, introduced a powerful force and a beloved villain.
The Crooked Path: Shame to see the best season peak at 9 and 8 on this list, but this episode was one of the best “actions speak louder than words” for character understanding.
Tick Tock: The best True Potential episode was pretty easily arguably the first one, I loved everything except the Treehorns. My favorite season has many strong episodes, this is its strongest.
The Corridor of Elders: Love me some elemental masters, and an unofficial Elemental Alliance against an entertaining villain, plus Pythor and Sensei Garmadon are here? A perfect storm.
Lessons for a Master: This is what we get when we need two season finales for one season. It’s not a finale, but it feels as glorious, all while continuing to develop every character.
The Final Game: DRs only appearance? Yeah. But it’s a strong episode that really shows Sora becoming what you’d expect an Elemental Master trained by Lloyd with help from Kai and Nya and some input from Zane and Cole to be: a force to be reckoned with
The Turn of the Tide: I cried. You cried. We crode. We all cried.
The Forgotten Element: Kai’s anti-betrayal and the best depiction of Chen’s battle prowess we saw, a cinematic experience
The Titanium Ninja: I KNOW FULL WELL THIS IS #1 DUE TO NOSTALGIA. But come on, as a kid that Zane line of “Support me, friends. For one last time” just summons salty fat tears to my eyes
Just to clarify, this is not based on quality. That is a wholly different list that I can do if anyonw wants. This is purely an opinion, so any “you’re wrong” will be considered but not deeply.
