Charge Blade SAED Problem

Ive noticed that in wilds sometimes when you do the SAED the phial explosion do vastly reduced damage. Sometimes they do the right amount like 130 per, but other times they only do something like 25 or 30. Ive tested it out a bunch in the training room but cant figure out what causes it. Its to the point where some explosions of an SAED will only do 31, but other ones during the same SAED will do the full amount. Anyone know what might be happening here?
