I Did It!

I just finished the base 10 Malazan books and overall it was a great read. Out of the 10 though Memories of Ice stand above the others to me, it was so good also has one of/if not my favorite character of the series, Itkovian. Yedan also rose up in the top list of characters with his story in the Crippled God.

I will say as I kept reading through these books since March/April I kept thinking to myself how some of these books could be trimmed down and not be so massive, but as I read the Crippled God I realized it was all needed, without all that "fat" I would not have cared as much as I did for every single character and POV Erikson provides you in the finale.

I really enjoyed my time reading the series but I believe before I continue on with more Erikson or Esselmont books to continue the world of Malazan I'm gonna give myself a break as I just went straight through the series with no break. But I definitely see myself coming back to this world with the other works 😁
