Is season 11 worth it?

I love Love Island and have always preferred UK to US, but this season I had such a hard time getting into UK. I watched to about two weeks in and there were no genuine connections yet, a ton of cattiness with the girls, and the whole Joey whatever his name is guy was just unlikeable and a bad twist in my opinion. I felt they were centering the show around him when they brought his ex in. It didn’t feel like Love Island.

At that point US was so good and had my full attention and I withdrew.

Now I’m having severe LI withdrawals. I was hoping to get some opinions (without spoilers) on if season 11 picked up and got better?
