Not religious but I met my guardian angel

Hello. I think about this often.

When I was 18 I worked as a lifeguard. I’d often just wear a one piece suit and shorts to work even in the winter. This is relevant bc this happened in the middle of February. Anyway. It’s 8:17 (I know bc I briefly opened my eye to establish a time of death) and I’m driving when suddenly, a car enters my lane and I don’t have time to stop. I close my eyes and brace for impact. I end up backwards in the intersection having spun out on the slick road (it’s pouring down rain). I hear people honking at me (wtf not like I’m going anywhere) and my car is smoking. I scream and try to find my phone. I can’t. Suddenly, the most beautiful woman I have ever seen in my life is knocking at my window. She’s calm and wearing white from head to toe. She’s also completely dry despite it pouring. She asks if I’m ok which I have no idea. Pain isn’t something you feel minutes after a car crash. She helps me out of my car and to the side of the road. Mind you, I’m freezing bc it’s pouring and about 40 degrees out. She goes to my car and finds a jacket and my phone. I call my mom and she comes to get me. (I’m completely fine. Just a bruised knee). I try to find her to thank her but I can’t find her anywhere. Not talking to a cop. Not talking to paramedics. Nowhere. But I’ll never forget her face and the way she was. I can’t describe it other than an angel. I hope everyone gets to meet theirs. Such a comforting experience.
