Help can’t join friends world

So my friend and I started a world played for 3-4 hours it kicked us out to refresh the world but when I try joining his world my Fortnite just crashes I can play perfectly fine if I start a new world on my end but can’t join the world where we have all our progress any ideas or anyone else having same issues? I’m on PC btw checked all my drivers settings everything is working perfectly just can’t join his world specifically tyia!
