Have Ticketmaster fees always been net +30%?

STH in Section 115 here. I go to almost every home game, rarely sell tickets, and always wondered why I haven't had much luck selling tickets when I can't make it to a game. I'm going to do a little experiment through the season and track the difference between face value, Ticketmaster's "what similar tickets are selling for", and the price I would pay for a similar ticket to my own 1-2 days before a game. Which gets me to Ticketmaster...

I knew they took a 10% fee from the seller, but I didn't realize the buyer "convenience fee" was about 20%. Basically they make 30% of face value (assuming face value holds up this year...) for all tickets changing hands, and since it doesn't seem like there are any primary sale tickets available, TM's take must be huge. This is pretty rough for the fans. I'm a capitalist - "what the market will bear" and all that - but these fees are coming out of the Club's pockets ultimately. Is there really no major ticketing company that can undercut TM's fees? Does TM have a deal with MLS or something?
